Marcia Grubel is a career, business and life coach with a
diverse background that includes: starting her own business, career counseling, outplacement
consulting, and training for major corporations and universities. She specializes in coaching
executives and highly motivated professionals to discover new possibilities and reach goals
faster and more successfully than they could accomplish on their own.
Marcia began her business career as a personnel recruiter then eventually she started
her own company. Her clients included Fortune 500 companies as well as smaller organizations
in which she placed professionals with a variety of backgrounds. Through this experience, she
developed first hand knowledge of challenges faced by companies and skills required to
succeed in a fast changing workplace.
As a career counselor/outplacement consultant, Marcia helped executives and specialized
professionals to manage career transitions and move in new directions. She has been
affiliated with Drake Beam Morin, Inc., Manchester Partners, Government Programs,
The University of Connecticut, and Sarah Lawrence College.
Marcia has facilitated management training and personal development workshops for companies
nationwide such as Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, Magellan Behavioral Healthcare, Citicorp,
American Home Products, and Bayer Corporation. As an adjunct professor for the University
of Bridgeport MBA program, she created a course for human resource professionals on coaching
and counseling skills. Currently, is serves as coach to business owners enrolled in the
Academy for Entrepreneurial Excellence at Westchester Community College.
Marcia exemplifies her passion for continuous personal development through her experiences
and education. She has a Masters Degree in Psychology, is a graduate of Coach University,
a National Board Certified Counselor, New York State Certified Teacher, President and
founding member of the Westchester/Rockland Chapter of the International Coach Federation,
and married with two children. She enjoys worldwide travel, bicycling, tennis, fitness and
cultural events.
